CHARITY PARTNER
The Foodbank has been the countywide hub for emergency food distribution since 1982, providing 11 million pounds of healthy food annually. Half of this is fresh produce, and it serves more than 200,000 Santa Barbara County residents. From our sharehouses in Santa Maria and Santa Barbara, food is distributed through partnerships with over 200+ nonprofit agencies, schools, and community centers.
Nutrition education programs for children and families promote food security and healthier communities. All Foodbank programs and support are free to residents. Every $1 donated provides 5 healthy meals for local children, families, and seniors and helps break the cycle of food insecurity.
